An issue which affects every Internet user is one of what content is being accessed on the Internet and what information are (unauthorised) sources trying to send to the PC or system connected to the Internet? 

 

A myriad of hardware and software exists which is aimed at prohibiting access to inappropriate content (websites); for checking the content of email for spam, scams and illicit images and to prohibit the hacker from gaining access to your system.  One of the major issues which particularly affects smaller businesses who typically do not have or who cannot afford specialised technology staff / assistance, is that the products available fall into one of two categories:

 

-          Complex and expensive – requires specialist knowledge to configure and maintain and provides good level of detection / prevention
